We have some fun events coming up! The Halloween Party is this month and I can promise you it’s one of the favorite meetings of the year because everyone comes in costume and we have a great DJ for some fun dancing. I’m always in charge of the food, so you can be sure there will be plenty of good food! In November we will do something creative- paint a ceramic piece (mug, plate, etc). Even if you think you aren’t creative, it’s lots of fun, it’s easy and makes for a great holiday gift!
Halloween Costume Party on Saturday, October 27, 7:30 to 11:00 p.m. at the Natick Elks lodge, 95 Speen St. Natick, MA 01760 Cost $20. This is GREAT FUN and has been a favorite with my au pair group for a few years. It will be about 200 au pairs from the Western Suburbs of Boston and includes a DJ for dancing, snacks, non-alcoholic drinks and prizes for the best costumes. We also decorate the hall with spooky Halloween things too. An invitation was sent out just over a week ago, but if you here is the link to the invitation if you didn’t receive it. https://culturalcare.wufoo.com/forms/z7a0w3/
Register NOW. It will fill up very quickly and they are only holding spaces for my group for this week and then they will open up to the rest of the Boston area. You are welcome to bring guests- just make sure either you or they pay for themselves on-line via the registration form. You can use a credit card or debit card for the on-line payment (like with the boat cruise). Costumes to buy can be expensive, so get creative and make your own out of items from your host family’s dress up stuff or household items like boxes, aluminum foil, etc. Second Hand Shops like the one on Moody Street in Waltham or Goodwill stores can also be great places to look for old costumes or fun old clothing and shoes.
This month will be a Ceramics Painting Event on Sunday, November 18th 3:30 to 6:00 p.m at Clay Dreams 183 Massachusetts Avenue Arlington, MA 02474. Cost will be $14 which includes a ceramic mug, plate or other small item you will be decorating. you can pay me there but do need to reserve a space by November 8th. You can choose to pay more for a larger item. This is a fun chance to get creative and perhaps make a holiday present for your host family or yourself.
